Recent activities

ちょっとご無沙汰ですね。なんせコレが6月最初の記事ではないだろうか・・・

(最近やはり思うけど、毎日書いてった方がいいのかもしれない。ペースうんぬんもあるけど、自分の思考整理法のひとつで。)


で、I forgot to write any blogs in English, so I'm gonna write many things recently I experienced.
以下英語で。

門下発表会 Studio concert

I played Desenclos's quatuor in saxophone studio concert now I'm in.
Every this season, we have a studio concert and I've played Desenclos too.
However, I played alto last time and this time, I played Baritone! Whoa!!!

It was nice experience and also fun!
I feel like I'm supporting other three parts in bass part.
And it gave me so much fun even though I didn't play melodic part :P


Other team played Jeanjean, Singelee, Maslanka and Irish dance which is composed by Japanese composer.

As encore piece, we performed "REVOCO!", written by graduate student of Ari-mon.(Our studio nickname. ..kind of nickname :P)

Because we worked harder than usual(hahaha!!), we got good beer or something drink :)
You guess we drunk after the concert? ...you should know...lol


Thank you for all people who came to the concert and support us!

Shared Terrace

Yeah this is what I want to describe!!

End of last month, I performed some pop-songs in the restaurant.
This day, the restaurant has an event -Candle night.
There're so many candles instead of using electric lights.

Nice atmosphere and I played such a nice place... Wow...

It was really different situation between usual performance and it made me stronger.
I'm not a starring part. Just being like one of service.

Starring part is the precious time for customer.
Not delicious dishes, not expensive cocktails, not music either.


If customer satisfied with good time, it is my pleasure too. I'm also satisfied.
So I think, to perform at the restaurant like this, performer are sometimes needed to being like circumstance, and past of service.


Anyways, there were many good things for me- some of my friends came to the restaurant to hear my playing and enjoying their time.

I really appreciate for all of customers, staff members and pianist, Shiori-san.

Teaching

... Guess what?

It means, I'm gonna be a teacher of saxophone x)

Though I've taught a couple of times for junior high school students, it is difficult and also good study for me.

Also there are so many joys when the student improve his/her skill.
Especially student realize what he/she wants.


Because I'm not Jazz player and no knowledge about Jazz saxophone, I can't teach a technique of ad-lib, however I believe basic skills are same.
And there're many common skill, technique,,,, and so on.

It's not my major work yet, but I want to be great teacher...haha!!


I hope it's gonna be good for us :)
